In my thesis I will try to investigate the ways Joyce portrays this new consciousness in Ulysses. I will attempt to demonstrate the effect of various types of media on the writer’s poetics as well as his critique of them. Joyce’s text demands much from its readers and it has proved to offer so many ways of interpretation that one might find it helpful to explore some aspects and concepts related to Joyce’s poetics and influences.hu_HU
