dc.description.abstractIn this thesis I have highlighted how Dontnod Entertainment show regard for past and fellow artists through their video game, Life is Strange. The study provides not only a detailed analysis of the game but also reveals the hidden or not so hidden references. The biggest dedication was for J. D. Salinger, as not only the main characters' last names are the same, but Blackwell has its similarities with Pencey. The dedications are intertextual, let them be TV series, books, films or memes. The game itself is not only for teens but for adults as well, if the story does not captivate the players, the references will.hu_HU
