Absztrakt
My hypothesis is that there are four themes, which are the main - and most frequent - causes of the coupling of love and death in vampire literature. The four elements are the following: transgression, the desire to explore the unknown, glorification of death and loss. According to my findings these phenomena are the most common themes of vampire fiction. Of course, there can be little convergence between the groups. Subcategories within the main ones and aggregations do exist. Some stories may include more elements, while others may contain just one given feature. Still, these four groups are clear and well-definable categories.
