The thesis presents a comprehensive analysis of consumer protection in Nigeria. It highlights the systematic weakness in enforcement, regulatory coordination, and public awareness. It examines the roles of key regulatory bodies and discusses how inefficiencies and corruption hinder their effectiveness. The study also explores the severe impact of counterfeit goods on consumer health and trust. furthermore, it shows a comparative analysis of consumer protection in Europe vs Nigeria and how Nigeria can adopt some of Europes best practices to improve consumer protection in the country.
