In my thesis I am going to write about how corpus linguistics and lexicography may help teaching English as a foreign language. In the first chapter I am giving a brief description of the field corpus linguistics and its improvement. This part also contains some facts about its history. Later on I am going to write about what can be used in language teaching concerning corpus linguistics. In the second chapter I am going cite definitions of lexicography, write a few sentences about linguists and lexicographers whose articles are cited and introduce written and online reviews of dictionaries.
