This thesis aims to investigate the representation of discriminative tendencies present in the post-World War II Hollywood era, against various minorities, through the analysis of the limited series, Hollywood, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan. This paper examines the cinematic techniques used in the series while taking into account the narrative structure: it explores the concepts of diversity, discrimination, minority and prejudice; provides an overview of women’s position in society; presents the hardships of gay people; and introduces the circumstances of African Americans, as well as the presence of racism towards other marginalized groups.hu_HU
