This research examines plastic waste management in Vientiane capital, focusing on estimating plastic waste production, studying recycling rates, and evaluating potential obstacles. It analyzes attitudes towards plastic management and participation of private and government sectors. The study categorizes Vientiane into metropolitan and urbanized zones, using statistical analysis of online questionnaires. Predictions suggest a correlation between population growth and plastic waste production, with potential quantities reaching significant levels by 2030. Despite differences in opinion between metropolitan and urbanized areas, overall, there's a reasonable understanding of plastic pollution among the population.
