This thesis describes the role of the trpv1 receptor in vascularity, research has shown that it has a mixed vasodilatory and vasoconstrictor effect. it acts on many receptors on the epithelium and smooth muscle the thesis also discusses its role in atherosclerosis, infection and wound healing
