Numerous studies have concluded that maternal PCOS is associated with an increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes, including preterm birth, hypertensive disorders, GDM, preeclampsia, early pregnancy loss etc. The aim of this thesis is to review the connection between having PCOS and being at an increased risk of various pregnancy complications compared to women without PCOS. Many studies have already shown a relationship between the two and by taking into account results from various recently published articles the goal is to summarize and analyze the main pregnancy complications that physicians should be carefully aware of when dealing with women diagnosed with PCOS. Based on analyses of various pregnancy complications, increased antenatal surveillance should be considered for pregnant women with a PCOS diagnosis and easy access to perinatal and neonatal services should ideally be provided.hu_HU
