Parkinson’s Disease and the Dental Patient
Absztrakt
Parkinson’s disease is a chronic, age-related, and progressive neurodegenerative disease of the CNS that causes numerous motor and non-motor symptoms. The oral and dental health of its patients can suffer tremendously. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the dentist to know how to manage such patients effectively in the dental office as well as to be able to offer these patients appropriate instructions and medications to manage their oral health care at home.
