A concerted international response is required to combat the serious worldwide danger posed by the funding of terrorism. This thesis provides a comparative study of the European Union's and the United States' counter-terrorism finance strategies. Based on legal and regulatory frameworks like the EU Anti-Money Laundering Directives and the USA PATRIOT Act, the research assesses the operational differences, challenges, and effectiveness of these two jurisdictions. By examining case studies and empirical data, this study highlights important strengths, shortcomings, and areas for convergence and development.
