In this study, we applied certain analytical techniques in the analysis of three aromatic plants belonging to the Apiaceae (Umbelliferae) family: Petroselinum crispum (Parsley), Anethum graveolens (Dill) and Apium graveolens (Celery). The techniques used were GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy) and DART MS (Direct Analysis in Real Time Mass Spectroscopy). I determined, identified and compared the essential oil compositions of the plants and also showed the application of these advanced analytical techniques.hu_HU
