dc.description.abstract | Immunotherapy represents a significant advancement in prostate cancer treatment. However, resistance mechanisms pose major challenges. Customizing treatments to modify the tumor environment and improve immune recognition offers promise for better outcomes. Early detection and treatment are crucial for reducing tumor variability and enhancing therapeutic success. An in depth understanding of how tumors respond to immunotherapy will aid in developing new treatment strategies. CAR T-cell therapy holds potential for prostate cancer, but it is still in early development, and ongoing research is vital to overcoming current obstacles and improving patient outcomes. | |

- Prostate cancer is a common malignancy affecting many men over 65 years old worldwide. Despite various treatments like surgery, radiation, and androgen deprivation therapy, advanced stages often become resistant to these methods. Immunotherapy has emerged as a promising option by harnessing the immune system to target prostate cancer cells. This thesis examines current immunotherapeutic strategies, including immune checkpoint inhibitors, cancer vaccines, and adoptive cell therapy, while highlighting the challenges and future directions for improving their effectiveness.
