The research addresses strategies for reducing CO2 emissions in aviation, focusing on Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs). While Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids Synthetic Paraffinic Kerosene (HEFA-SPK) leads current efforts, feedstock limitations restrict its scalability. The Fischer-Tropsch (FT) process offers greater flexibility but involves challenges like higher greenhouse gas emissions when coal is the feedstock. Emerging technologies, such as Power-to-Liquid (PtL) and Alcohol-to-Jet (ATJ) pathways, present additional opportunities. However, low blending ratios and early-stage development hinder these alternatives. The study also presents calculations based on literature data for estimated emissions reductions scenarios
