Absztrakt
The work investigates the biological characteristics, lipid antigen presentation properties, and T cell recognition mechanisms of CD1c, with the ultimate aim of developing HLA-independent T cell–redirecting therapeutic strategies. By targeting a non-polymorphic molecule with restricted expression in hematological malignancies, the dissertation proposes a strategy that could potentially broaden patient eligibility while reducing the risk of immune escape associated with peptide–HLA variability. In doing so, the thesis bridges fundamental immunological research with translational therapeutic development and contributes meaningfully to the advancement of next-generation engineered T cell therapies.
