In my thesis, I have chosen to show how much technological innovation can have an effect on a countries economic growth and development. I have chosen the mining sector of Mongolia to represent the topic as a case study. In particular, in my case study, I demonstrated that the right machinery and automation can provide opportunities for economic development even through mineral resources. I made a thorough introduction on multiple sides of Mongolia and its biggest mining company, Oyu Tolgoi. It has analyzed the internal and external influences of technology on Mongolian economy and political, economic, social and technological analysis on Oyu Tolgoi LLC.
