Absztrakt

This project focuses on the use of generative design to optimize a bracket. In the introduction, I explain how generative design uses automation and algorithms to improve the design process. I discuss the steps involved, such as creating a CAD model, performing finite element analysis (FEA), and using SolidWorks' generative design tools. I highlight the advantages of this approach, like saving time and increasing efficiency, while also mentioning challenges such as high computational demands and ethical concerns. The next section goes deeper into the process, covering the use of topology optimization and additive manufacturing, specifically FDM. My project aims to reduce weight and cost in the design of a belt roller back bracket by using FEA with Stainless Steel AISI 304. The results show a reduction in mass while keeping the design structurally sound. Finally, I discuss the work analysis conducted on the bracket, which helps validate the effectiveness of generative design in real-world applications by identifying stress points and weaknesses. Overall, this project combines theory and practical applications in engineering design.
