dc.description.abstractThis thesis outlines the creation of an Automated Modular Sprouting System. Manual sprouting is labour-intensive, imprecise and very environmentally sensitive; thus, the design process was an iterative approach whereby a robust mechanical system that had a new gear-driven rotating chassis was developed. I designed a robust electronic controller with a high degree of accuracy, which is based on the ESP32 microcontroller, which is powerful. I developed lean and agile firmware in ESP Home and have adopted the philosophy of local control. In this work, the system designed combines both mechanical design, electronics, embedded control, and automated water management to make the sprouting process more reliable and easier to use. As well as designing and coding the User Interface for the machine's control theory.
