The main topics of the thesis was creating the 3D models of the coupling, methods of manufacturing and exploring predictive maintenance prospects for the coupling. 3D models were created by CAD software. DMG MORI NTX 2500 CNC machine was selected for its reliability of machining AISI 4340 Steel with precision. Tool paths and manufacturing parameters under the flood cooling method were determined using CAM systems. Predictive maintenance methods were explored to increase effective coupling lifecycle and longevity. High viscosity grease to be used to minimize fretting wear and thermography analysis used to monitor abnormal heat patterns for relubrication requirements. Vibration analysis techniques to be used to analyze misalignments or defects within the system.
