In the contemporary American society, race and racial prejudices are still real issues. The current so-called third wave of anti racism, however, does not offer a great solution. Through the examples of Tiger Woods and Eminem, this thesis showcases two examples on how it is possible to cross the cultural bridge between Black and white people. Tiger Woods, a Black golfer, and Eminem, a white rapper, had to go through a lot of adversity to become successful, in Woods' case a predominantly white sport, golf, and in Eminem's case a predominantly black music genre, rap. Throughout their careers they caused many discussions and controversies due to their skin colors, but ultimately, they prevailed.
