Overview of Biology, Pathophysiology and Treatment of Acne Vulgaris
Absztrakt
Acne vulgaris is a chronic multifactorial inflammatory disease of sebaceous gland mainly in adolescents.Pathogenesis of acne involves four main factors; excess sebum production, abnormal keratinization within the follicle, colonization of P. acnes and release of inflammatory mediators. Hormones, Nutrition, and environmental factors also related to development of acne. Acne is an essential components of many systemic disease and syndromes. Treatment of choice depends on severity and preference of patient. Acne treatment should aim to rapidly and effectively reduce acne lesion.
