Coronary Flow Reserve Evaluation with a Novel Multi Pinhole Collimator on Triple-NaI-Detector on SPECT/CT in Coronary Artery Disease: A Pilot Study

Abstract

This pilot study investigated coronary flow reserve using a novel SPECT/CT imaging system in 21 patients with suspected coronary artery disease. Patients underwent dynamic myocardial perfusion imaging and were divided into low- and intermediate-risk groups. No significant difference in total flow reserve was found between the groups. However, regional analysis revealed abnormalities not visible with conventional imaging and global measurements. Larger studies are needed to confirm the clinical utility of this method.
