Artifical intelligence is a trailblazing invention which proved itself both revolutionary and troubling in the legal sense. This thesis explores the questions of how copyright law applies to or should apply to AI generated content, focusing mainly on two objectives: the legality of using copyrighted material or creative works in training AI systems, and whether or how copyright protects or excludes AI generated outputs. The analysis also contains a comparative examination of regulations and practices from different districts such as USA, UK, Chinese and EU level approaches to further establish a hypothetical solution to AI related copyright problems.
