| dc.description.abstract | This thesis compares PID and state-space control techniques for separately excited DC generators. Matlab Simulink is used to implement and test each strategy. Models are generated with lab controlled experiments. The results demonstrate which approach is more applicable and accurate. The effectiveness of each strategy for field or speed control is also taken into account in the study. | |
