dc.description.abstract. The source referred to in the title is the script of a literary-cultural event from 1965. At that time, it was customary for higher education teacher training institutions to organise “Institute Days” with the aim of boosting motivation and enthusiasm in students towards their chosen profession. At these events, the emphasis was laid on the beauties of a teacher’s job, highlighting their role in shaping future’s society, rather than on the presentation of the real difficulties of the profession. The published script is also a reflection of this intention, for the organisers of the event were trying to reinforce the belief in prospective teachers that they would become respected and highly esteemed members of the society. The programme also recalls the struggle and humiliation that teachers had to endure in the 1920s and 1930s, with the goal of emphasising the fact that, by contrast, teachers of the 1960s were in a much better situation and that they did not need to cope with such problems as their predecessors. In reality, the contrast between the two eras was not that sharp, since the layer of junior school teachers continued to be an underpaid and not particularly esteemed employment group in the society.  en
dc.description.abstractA fenti címmel közölt forrás egy irodalmi műsor forgatókönyve 1965-ből. Akkoriban a felsőfokú tanítóképző intézetekben évente egyszer „intézeti napokat” tartottak, amelyeknek az volt a céljuk, hogy még nagyobb kedvet és lelkesedést ébresszenek a hallgatókban a választott pálya iránt. A tanítói munka valós nehézségeinek a bemutatása helyett inkább a tanítói lét szépségeire helyezték a hangsúlyt, arra igyekeztek felhívni a tanító szakos hallgatók figyelmét, hogy milyen jelentős szerepük lesz a jövő társadalmának alakításában. A közölt szövegből is ez a szándék tükröződik, a műsor összeállítói azt a hitet erősítik a hallgatókban, hogy a tanítók a társadalom megbecsült és magasra értékelt polgárai. A műsorban felidézik azokat a küzdelmeket, megaláztatásokat, amelyekkel a 1920-as, 1930-as évek tanítóinak kellett szembesülniük, ezeknek a felemlegetésével is azt kívánták aláhúzni, hogy a 60-as évek tanítóinak már sokkal jobb a helyzetük, nincsenek olyan gondjaik, mint az elődeiknek. A valóságban persze nem volt ennyire éles a kontraszt a múlt az akkori jelen között, a tanítói réteg továbbra is alulfizetett és alacsony megbecsülést élvező foglalkozási csoportként volt jelen a társadalomban.   hu
