While modern science offers more down-to-earth explanations, there are still questions unanswered and debates unresolved when it comes to the evolution of language. There is, however, a distinct subgroup of languages, where the process of creation can not only be easily observed but in fact planned. These are the artificial or constructed languages; languages which were created deliberately and consciously. This is a paper about them. About their common features, about their most important representatives, about some of the criticism they received and still receive and finally about their prospects for the future.hu_HU
