dc.description.abstractThe thesis shows how Kossuth’s personality had an impact on the American society and what reasons explained that the ‘Kossuth craze’ developed in the United States during the 19th century. Furthermore, the similar drive in Kossuth and George Washington also can be seen and why people believed that Kossuth would eventually provide a similar country with free institutions to Europe as Washington did in the U.S.hu_HU
