Emergence of telemedicine in developed and developing countries with a special focus on remote treatment and follow-up of heart failure patients

Abstract

The thesis highlights the discovery and use of telemedicine in developed and developing countries. It explores the various methods of telemedicine that are used in clinical practice. The advantages as well as the hinderances to its implementation are mentioned. Its benefits in the follow up and treatment of chronic diseases such as heart failure are discussed. It also highlights the cost effectiveness of telemedicine.
