In my paper I summarize how the English and the Italian language express reflexivity and reciprocity based on the studies of Hurst & Nordlinger (2007) and Palmieri (2018). After a brief note on the categorization of reflexives and reciprocals I focused on the concept of lexical and grammatical reflexives and reciprocals presented both in English and Italian. I summarize the problem of ambiguity between reflexivity and reciprocity in the Italian language and the function of the reflexive 'si' clitic including the experiment of Palmieri (2019). Kevesebbet
