dc.description.abstractThis research explores the roles both chemerin and advanced glycation end products play in inflammation and disease progression of Hashimitos disease. Advanced glycation end are formed during non enzymatic glycation of proteins. these products promote oxidative stress and immune function which may increase chemerin levels. Chemerin is an adipokine and chemokine that is involved in immune regulation and inflammation.This research suggests a positive relationship between chemerin and AGEs in autoimmune thyroiditis, where both contribute to a cycle of oxidative stress and inflammation that may influence disease progression.
