In this thesis, I am going to analyze the similarities and differences between The Shining by Stephen King and The Shining as a movie directed by Stanley Kubrick. It offers a general overview of the two pieces through three chapters in which I am going to examine the storyline, the characters and the role of the setting in the two works.
