Trigeminal neuralgia is the most common type of facial pain syndrome that involves areas of skin innervated by one or multiple branches of the trigeminal nerve.The primary focus of this thesis is to discuss available pharmacological treatments for trigeminal neuralgia,especially their effectiveness, side effects, and mechanisms of action.
