In my dissertation, I investigated probing bound-state molecular dynamics using resonance-enhanced photodissociation. I studied the dissociation of the molecular ion MgH+, which is quite appropriate for inspecting (1+1) photon resonance-enhanced multi-photon breakup phenomena due to the fact that the energy difference between the ground and intermediate states is nearly equal to the energy discrepancy between the intermediate and dissociative states of the MgH+ molecule. We develop a model that explains general characteristics, such as peak splittings, shifting, asymmetry, and the multi-peak fragment spectrum arising from the coherent superposition of fragment amplitudes emitted at successive Rabi cycles. In this model, each Rabi cycle acts as a temporal source, and their interference produces the multipeak structure, splitting, shifting, and asymmetry. The results obtained by the developed model are confirmed by comparison with accurate multi-configuration time-dependent Hartree.
