This work is based on characterizing a drug molecule which was produced by our collaborators by testing it on the cardiac NaV1.5 channel using the patch clamp technique. We observed that the molecule has an interesting mechanism of action where it activates the channel at lower concentration and inhibits the channel at a higher concentration.
