dc.description.abstractThe Kürschak’s theory of evaluation is considered one of the most beautiful chapters of modern algebra. It was created in 1912 by József (Josef) Kürschák who had been presented the formal definition of valuation and formulated the axioms. By our paper we intend to retrace the scientifically work of Josef Kürschák, who was one of the great characters of Hungarian mathematical school. Two important events make this particularly timely: the anniversary of his scientific teacher recognizing and assisting mathematical talents. One of the best-known mathematical competitions, the Kürschák competition keeps the memory of his name.en
dc.description.abstractA Kürschák-féle értékeléselmélet a modern algebra egyik legszebb fejezetének tekinthető. Létrejötte 1912-re tehető, amikor Kürschák József bemutatta az értékelés formális definícióját és megfogalmazta az axiómáit. Dolgozatunkkal a magyar matematikai iskola egyik nagy egyéniségének Kürschák Józsefnek a munkásságára kívánunk visszatekinteni. Két fontos esemény teszi ezt különösen időszerűvé: születésének 150. évfordulója és nemzetközi szinten is kiemelkedő tudományos eredményei. Mindezek mellett olyan tudós tanár volt, aki felismerte és segítette a matematikai tehetségeket. Az egyik legnevesebb matematikai verseny, a Kürschák-verseny őrzi a nevét.hu
