(Postmodern) Identity (Crisis) in A.S. Byatt's Possession

Abstract

In my thesis I intend to analyse the novel on the basis of postmodern thinking within the framework of that I shall concentrate on issues such as the quest motif as the reflection of the fragmented identity, the uncertainty of telling a (his)story, the impossibility of one mode of reading, offering one truth.
