dc.description.abstractThis thesis provides a comprehensive evaluation of the drug utilization patterns and adverse drug reactions associated with semaglutide across multiple international settings. By integrating pharmacoepidemiological metrics with pharmacovigilance data from FAERS and EudraVigilance, the study offers a robust real-world assessment of both utilization trends and safety profiles. The findings demonstrate a consistent increase in semaglutide use over time, alongside a well-characterized spectrum of reported adverse drug reactions, predominantly gastrointestinal in nature. The analysis further explores demographic and reporting variations, including differences by sex, age, and reporter type. Overall, the study contributes meaningful evidence to the understanding of semaglutide’s real-world application and its implications for clinical practice and public health.
