dc.description.abstractThe Thesis examines how the European Union (EU) addresses the challenge of aligning ambitious climate goals with energy security and market efficiency. It focuses on the role of national financial support for renewable energy, especially in light of EU frameworks like the Green Deal and the European Climate Law. The impact of the Russia–Ukraine war and the REPowerEU plan is also explored, alongside global developments such as the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act and China’s “Made in China 2025” strategy. Special attention is given to the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework (TCTF), introduced in 2023. The analysis shows that while the evolving EU rules can accelerate the green transition and enhance energy reliability, they also raise concerns about economic competitiveness and legal consistency.
