In my thesis I analyze the social-political position of the Jews and their judgement in the late sixteenth and in the following seventeenth centuries in England ending with Oliver Cromwell’s decision about their readmission. It is well-known that Jewish tradition can be traced back into the very early history of England, therefore I will shortly introduce the early Jewish history in England, as well. I describe how the Anglo-Jewish history in England had begun because it definitely had very important consequences for their life.
