In my thesis, firstly, I shall offer a brief overview of the glorification of female buttocks in different historical and artistic periods in order to evidence that the current booty phenomenon is everything but new. The next chapter, in a form of a case study analysing Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" music video, explores the intersection of race, gender, and sexuality in connection with the booty.
