Mental health is a term that refers to one’s emotional, psychological and social well-being. It is something that concerns each and every individual, yet interestingly, this perfectly mundane topic is still somewhat of a taboo: people do not tend to address it and is not taken seriously enough. With the careful inspection of actor, Jake Gyllenhaal’s work, the thesis will showcase certain psychological disorders, the many ways these can be portrayed in modern cinema and how the media can help with spreading awareness and gaining the interest of sceptics.hu_HU
