This thesis explores one of Agatha Christie's great detectives' character, Miss Marple. She is an elderly woman who is really good at detection. The reason for her success is complex. Thanks to her hobbies, she can observe and then draw sharp conclusions about certain people and situations. She is also a proficient observer of human nature and can deceive people with her typical old lady disguise.
