Assessment of cellular uptake and endosomal release of a cell-penetrating peptide in Mus musculus liver tissue
Absztrakt
The selective permeability of the lipid bilayer poses an enormous challenge to intracellularly active drugs. Here we investigate the ability of a cell-penetrating peptide (CPP) to traverse the plasma membrane in Mus musculus liver tissue. The study employs a range of biophysics methods including fluorescence microscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. By elucidating the properties of the CPP, we hope to assess its potential as a therapeutic molecule carrier in future studies in pharmacology.
