Pharmacological approach to Drug and Drug-Food Interactions
Absztrakt
Medication interactions must be taken into consideration in order to avoid toxicities, side effects, and lower efficacy brought on by subtherapeutic drug doses. When drug interactions cannot be avoided, therapeutic drug monitoring of drugs with a narrow therapeutic index is essential. For the purpose of preventing or managing drug-drug and drug-disease interactions, doctors frequently need to make empiric treatment modifications or engage in more rigorous clinical surveillance. Overall, it is critical to approach medication management with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, due to the clinical diversity of drug-drug interactions for different agents.
