The Differences Between Second Language Learners and Native Speakers of English Regarding the Perception of the English Pronoun "Each Other"
Absztrakt
There are many unanswered questions and topics that are up for debate in the field of linguistics. Even though there have been many studies focusing on how people use their native tongue in comparison with other additionally learnt languages and what are the main factors that influence this process, there are still many topics that are intriguing to examine. In my thesis paper, I investigate whether there is a difference between second language learners and native speakers of English regarding the interpretation of the reciprocal pronoun each other. First, I will summarize why this topic is interesting and what the core questions are around it and I will also give an extensive summary about some significant academic sources that investigated this topic. Towards the end, I will present my own research about this issue and give answer to the previously posed question.
