Absztrakt

The aim of my thesis it to analyze how Hungarian women began to travel first around Europe and then overseas; what kind of the changes led to the fact that Hungarian women could travel comfortably to the United States; and how female travel writing differs from travel writing written by men. I aim to explore the topics that the two traveler ladies, namely Mrs. Mocsáry and Mrs. Jakabffy, write about in their travel accounts and prove that, although their accounts differ from those produced by men, they still provided useful information for their readers.
