As the globalization process fastens day by day, migration of people and its impacts become an actual issue for the world economy. Since migration can affect both the sending and receiving countries’ economy, it is important to look back global trends and studies in order to analyse the potential influences. Thus, this study focused on evaluating the wage and employment impacts of immigration in the migrant receiving countries as well as the economic effects of emigrants to the sending countries. The discussions resulted that global migration has little negative impact to the wages of natives. Most of these studies concluded that immigration influences the local employment either little positively or zero. From the other side, the economic effects of emigrants such as remittances, brain-drain phenomenon, and economic burden of capital owners were outlined.
