In this paper I’ll like to write about the major features and developments of Machine Translation systems (MT). I’ll start from the creation of MT systems, going through the important periods of development from the code-deciphering techniques the present methods. ALPAC report will also be an important feature that we are going to look into. We will look at the reasons why ALPAC found so many errors it MT systems and what these errors were.
