The aim of my thesis is to show Ernest Hemingway as a modernist short story writer through his Nick Adams short stories “Indian Camp” “The Doctor and the Doctor’s Wife” and “Ten Indians.” Nick Adams is the name that Hemingway gave to a largely autobiographical fictional persona. I intend to find autobiographical parallels and differences between the writer and his protagonist.
