The use of WBRT in these clinical situations appears unlikely to be replaced by other therapies in the near future. prophylactic WBRT to avoid the recurrence of cerebral metastases is beneficial and worth the risk of side-effects. WBRT is no longer the global standard of care for all patients with brain metastases. the clinical trials that are currently attempting to improve the efficacy and toxicity profiles of WBRT will have the potential for strong clinical application.hu_HU
